Longframe Houndbook Privacy Policy

Effective 11 August 2026 · Version 1.0.0 · Android package nz.org.dachshundclub.longframe

Installed-app summaryNo network permission, personal-data collection, account, tracking, free-text input or saved activity history.
01

Responsible entity, scope and effective date

Dachshund Club Incorporated is the responsible publisher of Longframe Houndbook for Android, package nz.org.dachshundclub.longframe. This policy describes the privacy behaviour of version 1.0.0 of the installed app. It is effective from 11 August 2026. The separate public support website provides information about the app and a copy of this policy; its static pages do not change the installed app’s behaviour.

02

Intended audience and responsible-adult boundary

Longframe Houndbook is designed for adult owners, handlers, volunteers, spectators, guardians and supervised young participants who want neutral preparation and observation prompts around dachshunds and fictional event settings. A young person should use the app only with an engaged guardian or other authorised responsible adult. The app does not create private communication between adults and young people, does not verify authority or consent, and does not replace an organisation’s safeguarding procedures.

03

App purpose and main functions

The app is an offline educational fieldbook. It contains the Longframe Board, Arrival Fold, Whole-Dog Lens, Coat Cabinet, Pace Strip, Ringside Paper, Handoff Shutters, Welfare Curtain, Source Desk, Privacy Folio and About pages. These modules help users frame questions, think through spacing and handoffs, and recognise when to pause and involve a capable person. They do not provide event registration, live schedules, official maps, judging, scoring, veterinary care, grooming instructions, training plans or emergency response.

04

Data collected, transmitted and data not collected

The installed app does not collect or transmit personal data, device identifiers, usage events, diagnostics, advertising identifiers, approximate or precise location, contacts, files, photographs, audio, account details or form responses. It has no backend or network permission. The app does not ask for a person’s name, email address, telephone number, membership status or payment information and does not ask for a dog’s identity, pedigree, health, breeding, show, score or ownership record.

05

On-device preferences and session state

Navigation position, an open folio page, the selected Pace Strip moment, a selected Ringside Paper zone and other module choices are temporary on-device UI state for the current use of the app. The app does not save these choices to a database, shared preferences or app-created files, and does not transmit them to the publisher or any third party. Android may restore ordinary activity state temporarily while the app is backgrounded, recreated or restarted by the operating system. This state is not an activity history and the publisher cannot retrieve it.

06

Sensitive records, youth records and free-text notes

The app provides no free-text field and creates no sensitive record. It does not store medical or health information, disability information, welfare observations, incident reports, attendance, behaviour labels, photographs, voice recordings, dog profiles, youth profiles, guardian details or private notes. Users should not treat a temporary module choice as a record and should use an authorised real-world system for any information their organisation is lawfully required to manage.

07

Permissions

Longframe Houndbook requests no runtime permissions. Its manifest does not request Internet, camera, microphone, location, contacts, calendar, Bluetooth, notification, telephone, SMS or external-storage access. The Android build system may add an internal signature-level permission used only to protect communication between copies of the same signed app; it is not requested from the user and does not provide access to personal data.

08

Accounts, login and account deletion

The app has no account, login, registration, membership portal or cloud identity. It therefore has no app account to delete and no password or authentication token to retain. Uninstalling the app removes the installed package and any ordinary operating-system state associated with it. Club or event records that may exist outside this app are governed by the system or organisation that holds them.

09

Advertising, analytics, tracking and third-party SDKs

The app contains no advertising, analytics, attribution, telemetry, crash-reporting, remote-configuration, social, payment or marketing SDK. It does not create an advertising profile, fingerprint a device, measure engagement for the publisher or use cross-app or cross-site tracking. The app uses standard Android and Jetpack libraries locally to render its native interface.

10

Sharing, disclosure, sale and third parties

Because the installed app does not collect or transmit personal data, the publisher does not share, disclose, rent or sell personal data from the app to advertisers, data brokers, service providers or other third parties. No automated decision is made about a user or dog. Information that a user independently chooses to tell another person outside the app is outside this app’s control.

11

External links, contact, export and network behaviour

Source Desk shows official reference names and web addresses as non-clickable text so a user can consult a current source separately. The installed app does not open a browser, WebView, email composer, dialler or share sheet; it does not upload or export content and cannot verify whether a web address has changed. The public support website is a separate static resource accessed through the user’s own browser and is not loaded inside the app.

12

Retention

The publisher retains no personal data or activity history from the installed app. Temporary navigation and selection state normally lasts only while the process remains in memory. The publisher cannot retrieve it. Web-server or network-provider logs generated when a person independently visits the public support site are outside the installed app; the static site does not add analytics, tracking scripts, forms or cookies.

13

Deletion, backup, restore and device transfer

Users can return to the Longframe Board, close the app or uninstall it. Android backup and device-to-device transfer are disabled in the manifest and data-extraction rules for app files, databases and preferences. The app provides no cloud backup, restore or synchronisation service. Android may temporarily restore ordinary UI state as described in section 5, but that state is not retained by or available to the publisher.

14

Security measures and limits

The app reduces privacy risk by operating without a network permission, collecting no personal data, providing no account or free-text input, excluding tracking SDKs, disabling backup and device transfer, and signing release artifacts. No software can guarantee absolute security. Users remain responsible for securing their device and for avoiding the entry or disclosure of sensitive information in unrelated apps or real-world conversations.

15

Children, Families and safeguarding

The app is not a social service for children and does not knowingly collect information from children. Any young participant shown or discussed in the educational content is framed as supervised by a guardian or authorised responsible adult. There is no chat, public profile, follower system, precise location, photo capture, direct messaging, attendance record or targeted advertising. Guardians and organisations must apply their own current consent, supervision and safeguarding requirements.

16

Animal welfare, health, sport and professional-advice limits

Longframe Houndbook offers general educational prompts only. It does not diagnose or treat illness, injury, pain, distress, skin or coat conditions; assess gait, temperament, conformation, fitness or breed quality; prescribe exercise, nutrition, medication, grooming, breeding or equipment; or interpret competition rules. Stop an activity when safety or welfare is uncertain and involve the owner or person in charge and, when appropriate, a veterinarian, qualified professional, event organiser or local emergency service.

17

Policy changes and user choices

The publisher may update this policy when the app’s features, data practices or legal obligations change. A revised policy will state a new effective date and should be reviewed before an updated version is published. Users may choose whether to install or use the app, which educational page to view, whether to reset the session and whether to consult a current official source outside the app. Material data-practice changes require matching updates to the app, public policy and Google Play declarations.

18

Privacy contact

Privacy questions about Longframe Houndbook may be sent by post to: Dachshund Club Incorporated, 30 Taylor Terrace, Tawa, Wellington 5028, New Zealand. Please identify the app name in the correspondence and do not send medical records, youth records, passwords or other unnecessary sensitive information. This postal channel concerns the app policy; urgent animal-welfare, safety or emergency matters should be directed to the appropriate local person, professional or emergency service.
